Going forward this project will still need a lot of help. The clearing of invasive species and replanting of native species was a great start, but only about half of the new plants will survive, and the invasive species will grow back. In order to prevent this there has to be continually removal of the invasive species, which is a great way to get more student involved. To continue the maintenance staff or even the students will have to have to nurture and take care of all the new native plants that have planted to extent their survival rate. Furthermore, the bare minimum of plants were replanted, so more have to be added and throughout the years and taken care of. The maintenance of this project will have to continue for years to come until Rocky Branch has more a native species in the area, then invasive species. Maintaining the project will be a great way to get more student involved, in removing the invasive species and replanting the native species on a yearly or bi- annual basis.
